Let me enter stocks that you don't recognize and enter the info manually.

We have a beta feature that will be in our upcoming release (very soon) that you should be able to use now.  Use 'UNKNOWN' for the symbol and you will get an instrument where you can set all of the overrides.  This is not fully tested at this point, but seems to be working reliably.  In our upcoming release the overrides will be shared across devices and on the web. Let us know if you have any issues.

BTW, if you are trying to add preferreds try using 'symbol' + '-'+ 'series'  e.g. 'JPM-C' for JP Morgan C series.

Unknown symbols (enter 'unknown' for the symbol) are now supported in our v1.1 release.  You can use these to enter instruments that we don't cover, such as bonds.
