iPad vs Laptop - Different Dividend Values

ms99's picture

I really like this app! It has helped me identify how I need to restructre my portfolio and given me very useful information.

However, when I view the projected dividend amounts on my iPad and my laptop, the values are different.

For example on my iPad the app show an average monthly dividend of $8xx while on my laptop it shows $9xx. And the projected annual dividend amount differs as well.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

  Mike

Hi Mike,

Both the iPad/iPhone app and the website pull the data from the same database on our server, so there should be no difference.  The apps cache the data on your device between requests so you likely just need to refresh your portfolio on your device.  Tap the refresh button on the top left corner of the Portfolio tab to grab the latest portfolio data from the server.  Please let us know if this solves your problem.

Thanks!

I'm finding this problem as well.

For RioCan on my lap top this is incorrectly displayed for Oct 08

RioCan Real Estate Investment TrustTSX:REI.UN202 @ 11.5$2,323.00

While on my iPhone the display correctly reads Oct 08  202 @ 0.1150  $23.23

Thanks JG, we just noticed this also and have corrected it.  Nonetheless the App and web versions should agree.  The only difference should occur if the portfolio on the App hasn't been refreshed.  Tap the refresh button at the top-left of the Portfolio tab to download the latest market close and dividend info.  The App only does this on request, not automatically, for those sensitive about data costs.  Perhaps this should be an option.
